Purchased my first GPS watch a couple of weeks ago. I absolutely love this. Very easy setup, took only a couple of minutes. Recognizes my home course quickly. Yardage to front/middle/back are accurate versus my son’s Bushnell laser. Watch band is very comfortable and no problem with it affecting my swing or glove. Battery is excellent got over 3 eighteen hole rounds and still had battery left.. Charging was quick and easy. Very happy with this purchase.

This is a great watch. I used Skycaddie products in the past and decided to give this unit a try after a friend’s recommendation. Could not be happier. This watch is relatively easy to use, provides quick access to hazards and is very accurate. Also, I do not have to recharge the unit after each use which I was forced to do with my Skycaddie. Be patient at start up. It does take a bit to locate a satellite at the first tee but is great after that. Also there is no required subscription

This watch is great. I had it about 3 months now and I am very happy with its proformance. I know it’s accurate because when I first started using it I would stand on the yard markers to check the yardage. Right on every time. It automatically senses what hole your on. Once you pick the course you don’t need to hit another button. Good if your not good with tech. If you are you can pull up hazards and check your shot yardage. I have not have any problems with the band as others had posted. I played with it about 15 times now. It is very light weight and does not bother me while playing.

Works perfect and makes it so much easier to play golf. If you don’t like that you have to hold a regular GPS “perfectly still” …..then switch to the watch! Sooooo much easier to gauge distance quickly! And it’s very accurate….I want to know the most accurate distance to the pin as possible especially for chip shots and shorter iron shots.

i bought this and wore it twice and the band ripped…..disappointing….the gps worked well the first time on the course, not so much the last time…will try to buy another band since it is past the 30 days return period.

Two Bushnell Neo ION Golf watches were sent that didn’t work.

I bought this through Amazon.com and it didn’t work. I returned it and asked for a replacement that also didn’t work. I called Customer Service of Bushnell and I didn’t have to wait long to speak to a representative. He asked me if I had charged the watch on a wall socket using the USB connection and I said yes (even so he mentioned that the watches should come with full power). The representative asked me to press and hold the lower right hand button for 7 seconds that I did and nothing happened (I had already done this with the previous one I sent back). Then he asked me to press and and the upper left button for 7 seconds and nothing happened. Then he asked me to hold and press the 4 most outer buttons for 15 seconds and a diagnostics would come up (that never did). The representative was puzzled and when I told him this was the second watch with this problem he was really surprised. I have an older Bushnell watch that I really like and it is incredible to see that two watches came with a defect. I am disappointed just because I like the Bushnell watch as my old one has great power and I can play two full rounds without having to recharge the battery and I was expecting even more from the new model. I gave it a low score but I am not sure this is fair since I didn’t even have the opportunity to test it but if I buy something I must assume it at least works!

Happy with ion

Lost my Golf Buddy Pro and needed replacement. Main concern was front, middle, back distance. Checked against course markers and found to be no more than a yard off. Nice big / bold numbers, relatively easy to get used to navigating buttons. GPS seems to be a little slow booting up but not excessive. Quick start manual is small font. My tip is to go to Bushnell website and print manual for a readable manual. Decent price for basic wearable GPS. I have had no problem with the band as some have reviewed. Wear it loose so it’s above your golf glove.

i bought this a couple of months ago and waited until after some use to review this item. i had a garmin before this that stopped working so i tried this brand instead. While the watch works well I have 2 small issues with it. first the charger is difficult to align and get to stay on the watch which is annoying i have to put on cheater glasses and be under bright light to do it. second is it takes like 5 minutes to hookup with gps. my garmin was much quicker like 30 seconds. all being said it works well once charged and on gps .

Wonderful On-Course Watch

Easy-to-use watch, accurate yardages. Like the fact that it also has a pedometer. Courses load quickly, I have yet to play on a course in the US or in England or Ireland where the watch did not recognize the course and load quickly. The time function itself does not work well. When setting by GPS it is always two hours off, so I need to set manually. It is each to do, no big deal, but odd. But on the golf course itself, it is great.
