Play Better Fairway Bunker Shots with the Tee Drill
Here’s How to Do the Fairway Bunker Tee Drill
- Place a tee in the sand with just the top of it showing above the surface. Place a ball on top of the tee.
- Practice hitting the ball off of the top of the tee without touching or moving the tee. This will teach you to sweep the ball catching it on the upswing rather than hitting down too deep into the sand.
- Practice the Fairway Bunker Tee Drill enough so that you become great at picking the ball clean from a fairway bunker, just like you would from a shot in the fairway, eliminating those chunks from the bunkers.
