In photos: Phil Mickelson through the years

Phil Mickelson hit a milestone on June 16, 2020, when he reached the age of 50, but it hasn’t slowed him much.

Mickelson was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2001. He’s the winner of 45 PGA Tour titles, his most recent coming unexpectedly in the 2020 PGA Championship.

He racked up three wins on the PGA Tour Champions combined 2020-21 season but had just three top-10 finishes in 17 starts on the PGA Tour. In 2021, he hadn’t been better than a tie for 25th in six PGA Tour starts but put it all together at Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course to collect his sixth major championship. Mickelson has earned more than $92 million in tournament winnings on the PGA Tour over his career.

Mickelson has now moved to the LIV Golf Invitational Series, which subsequently led to him being banned, along with 16 others, by the PGA Tour.

From his All-American days at Arizona State, to winning a Tour event while still an amateur, to becoming one of 12 golfers to win three legs of the career grand slam, to the breakaway LIV circuit, here’s a look at Lefty over the years.
