The 2023 Solheim Cup at Finca Cortesin in Andalucía, Spain, gets underway Friday morning with foursome (alternate shot) matches. In the afternoon, the United States and Europeans will face off in a fourball (best ball) session.

Two years ago, Team Europe bested Team USA on American soil at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, 15-13. Leona Maguire, making her first appearance in the biennial bash, led the way, earning 4½ points for the Europeans with a 4-0-1 record.
