Scottie Scheffler takes over top spot for most money won at Players Championship

Scottie Scheffler is on a roll and he keeps raking in the money.

With a first-place prize of $4.5 million on the line, Scheffler came from five shots back on Sunday to win the 2024 Players Championship. And with that, he took over the top spot for most money won in a career at the PGA Tour’s flagship event at TPC Sawgrass.

Scheffler was previously third all-time at the Players with more than $4.5 million (with most of that earned for winning there in 2023) but now he’s over the $9 million mark.

He takes over the top spot from Sergio Garcia. Tiger Woods slides from the second to third.
